Representatives of UKBC held a scheduled online meeting with Korean entrepreneurs from Nizhny Novgorod

On June 20, 2020 the UKBC team met with Korean businessmen from Nizhny Novgorod.

The meeting was held through the Zoom platform online and brought a large number of people together: current members of UKBC clubs, guests, as well as potential candidates from Omsk, Nizhny Novgorod and Yekaterinburg.

This time the event was moderated by Igor Kan (DC ACK). It  began with getting acquainted with representatives of clubs of UKBC, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk and Yekaterinburg, and then there were presentations of UKBC and other clubs: Business Club KORYION (Tashkent), KIMCHI Business Club (St. Petersburg) and Koryo Business Network (Seoul).

So far, we have met only two members of the Nizhny Novgorod club: Anastasia An, a strategic buyer of Coca-Cola factories, and a Korean teacher Aleksey Mun, a leader in the Korean youth autonomy in Nizhny Novgorod. They said that the idea of creating a club in Nizhny Novgorod came upon becoming inspired and impressed after attending the Future Leader Conference. At the conference, they first heard about UKBC. The main goal of the conference organized by the Overseas Korean Foundation since 1989 has been establishing and strengthening ties between Koreans living overseas.

Attending the event motivated and encouraged them to hold their first activation meeting, which passed rather successfully, gathering 15 people at one table who might form the permanent key personnel of the club in the future. They also shared about plans for holding an offline meeting of the Korean Networking Club in July this year, during which they plan to tell Korean businessmen from Nizhny Novgorod about UKBC in order to increase interest and involvement in our association.

It should be noted that thanks to the great interest in UKBC, the geography of UKBC keeps expanding and the number of candidates for UKBC members is constantly increasing! This event serves as a confirmation of this, and although our meeting took place online, it was still able to rekindle the fire of warmth and strength of the spirit in the hearts of UKBC members!
