Presentation of the movie "Sasha’s Ariran" in Tashkent.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Koreans' residence in Uzbekistan, KBS Broadcasting Company on its first channel twice showed the film "Sasha’s Ariran" 사샤의 아리랑. The premiere of the film took place on December 15, 2017, and then, in the ranking of views, it outstripped not only documentaries of the entire television and radio company, but also the people's favorite doramas (Korean TV shows). After such success, the film was shown again and became the best KBS 2017 documentary.
In the film about Sasha Lee, through the prism of Sasha’s fate, through her contacts with contemporaries, there is a story about us, about the fate of koryo-saram. The author of the film managed to tell his viewer about us in a different language, he departed from the stereotypes that the average South Korean has, it is we poor who were forcibly resettled from Primorye to the sands and lived in the terrible conditions of the communist regime, - the author, 장각복, through young, beautiful, super talented girl Sasha showed not only our story but also our achievements, which his viewer did not know about, probably, therefore, his viewer clung to the TV screens with interest - he was allowed to experience a sense of pride and admiration for the Koreans.
In Tashkent, the premiere of the movie will take place on one of UzTV channels on March 20, 2018.
